TEACH BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS IN INDIA

As a volunteer, you can play part in transforming societies from the traditional paper systems to new digital era. You will teach children and adults how to use computers, bringing them up to speed on how they can use digital tools to make a difference in their lives.

The computers as well as internet connections will be provided throughout the learning process. Work with students who have little or no knowledge of computers – teaching basic computer skills, things such as switching on the computer, using the mouse, paint, typing skills, cut, copy paste, internet, email writing, CV writing, job application, managing different windows or word processing skills.

Computer skills are vital for young people who want to seek employment or higher education. India is a forward-thinking nation, but many children still struggle to gain access to technology. Our computer skills programs enable volunteers to pass on some of their knowledge and ensure students get the best possible start in life. Program includes pickup & drop off from airport, accommodation in volunteer house with other volunteers, hot running showers, wi-fi, with 3 meals everyday & much more. Volunteers can take part in incredible optional add-on-trips including a Taj Mahal in Agra, Delhi city tour, Jaipur trip, Trekking in Himalayas, Varanasi & Haridwar pilgrimage trip & much more.

Where in India will I be working?

Currently, program available in Dharamsala location. Dharamsala offers magnificent views of the snow-covered Himalayan peaks, pine forests and tea gardens. Full of life yet also peaceful, Dharamsala offers the perfect destination for volunteer work in India. Not surprisingly, His Holiness the Dalai Lama holds residency in the area. Volunteers can explore the different monasteries and Buddhist temples. The communities we assist are set in the green valleys at the foothills of the Himalayas and many of the children are from farming communities in the area. Arriving in Dharamsala is like stepping into another world. With its remarkable natural beauty.

Volunteer Reviews

Truly an amazing program that is making a difference for the children of Dharamsala, India. The program was very well organized, and I always felt completely comfortable, safe and like part of the community. Teaching was challenging but deeply rewarding will never forget the children and women we taught English and IT skills to, and it was definitely hard to say goodbye! The included excursions are something you don’t get with other volunteer agencies and I’m so glad I was able to see the Taj Mahal and Golden Temple while volunteering. Overall, my month in India was really wonderful thanks to Varun and iSpiice!” Varun & his team are leading the way with amazing work, and they need your help to continue. I have no hesitations coming back to iSpiice and I am already planning my next trip.”
