The Himalayan Trek Weekend Trip

Spend a weekend in the midst of nature, amongst the breathtaking Himalayan Mountains. iSpiice offers a 2-day (1 night) trek in the Himalayas. The Himalayas are home to the highest mountain in the world and catching sight of her towering peaks are inspiration to aim high. The trek is popular with adventure tourists and a migratory route for local shepherds. Once at the top (2975 m) you are eye level with the laka snowline – one of the lowest snow lines in the Himalayan range. Take the opportunity to explore the mountain top while it is still bright and enjoy a glorious sun set from the top of the world.

As night falls gather round the campfire to sing songs and exchange stories before retiring to bed in tenting or guesthouse accommodation. The following day wake early to catch the sun rise (over a nice warm cup of chai), enjoy a mountain top breakfast and begin your descent. Volunteers trek for 5-6 hours each day and it is suitable for all levels, those who are finding it more difficult take it at a slower pace and there are plenty of rest stops and Himalayan teahouses along the way.

You must inform staff at iSpiice volunteer house before if you have any health problems which may affect your ability to complete the trek (asthma, heart problems, leg or back problems).
